FAQ's:
I live out of the area, out of state or even out of the country. Can you still help me?
Yes, Calistoga In Bloom is very accustomed to dealing with out-of-state and out-of-country brides-to-be who wish to be married in the Napa Valley. Emails and Pinterest boards will fill in all the blanks. You will be treated with respect and honesty from beginning to end.
How do I make an appointment for a consultation?
It is easy. Simply fill out the CONTACT page.
You will be contacted within 3 business days to schedule a time that is convenient for you. Depending on how organized you are, in terms of theme, colors, and your Pinterest boards, it can take 45-90 minutes and is free of charge. Many brides choose to use email so they have a good record of what is said, I highly recommend this option.
Do you offer wedding packages?
YES, Calistoga In Bloom feels you are a unique bride and all packages can be customized. Every wedding is just that: very unique and individual. The first step is to make a complete list of the important people who will be attending your wedding and who will require a bouquet, nosegay, corsage or single flower. This will help in determining how much your wedding flowers will cost, although cost is also determined by the type of flowers you choose. Please see our Wedding Prices page for more information.
What kind of budget is realistic?
This is a loaded question as every wedding is different. Are you a rose, orchid or carnation bride? Your personal tastes and needs will determine how much your wedding flowers will cost; however, we are always willing to work within your budget constraints and do our best to give you the wedding you always dreamed of. Please see our Wedding Prices page for more information.
How do I pay for your services?
Once you approve our bid, a $250 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date.
Your wedding is reserved on our calendar at that time. The remainder can be made in payments in any increments you desire but must be paid in full not less than 30 days before your event. We accept checks and credit cards, via our PayPal account. Please note: all returned checks will be assessed a $25 fee.
How many weddings do you accept on one date?
Calistoga In Bloom can accept a limited number of weddings depending on set-up and design time called for to execute them. For example, a smaller, simpler wedding, will expend far less time than one that involves elaborate design work and/or set-up requirements. Therefore, the number of weddings accepted on a given day varies. You can feel confident that your wedding will be completed according to your specifications and in a timely manner.
How do you handle flower substitutions?
Once in a while a substitution of a particular flower choice becomes necessary due to circumstances that are unavoidable such as weather. Although they rarely occur we still make every effort to avoid these kinds of situations. Rest assured, you have the Calistoga In Bloom promise that every attempt will be made to find a suitable exchange to carry out the look and feel of your wedding when the exact flowers are not available. With a little flexibility, your wedding flowers can be as lovely as you envisioned them. Our goal is to make your day as worry free as possible.
Do you deliver to the ceremony and reception site?
Yes. Calistoga In Bloom will deliver to most Calistoga venues for a small fee of $12. Depending on distance, we may charge a slightly higher fee. This is decided on a case-by-case basis.
Do I need to keep the flowers refrigerated until the wedding?
No, please DO NOT refrigerate your flowers once they are delivered. Food refrigeration can seriously harm cut flowers and even turn them black. The best atmosphere is a room between 60-72 degrees, away from drafts, ceiling fans and direct sunlight.
How will I know who gets what?
All bouquets, even hand-tied are delivered in a vase with water, and all bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages will be tagged with name of bridal party member.
Do you rent vases?
Some of our reception arrangements are priced with the container as a rental. These include our tall pedestal centerpieces and our cylinders with submerged flowers. Most other arrangements are sold with the vase included, so that the centerpieces are yours for your guests to take home.
Are there any dates that are better than others for wedding flowers?
Note that flower prices are much higher around high volume flower holidays like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day (which includes the two weeks prior and two weeks after each holiday.) If you have a choice, we recommend avoiding either of these dates. (Calistoga In Bloom will not book a wedding for Mother's Day weekend.)
